IMAGERY AND OUR BRAIN CHEMISTRY

Mapping and understanding the Human Brain is on a par with fathoming the deep seas of the Earth; there are incredible, intricate creatures my husband would like to make puppets of.
He learns, I learn, vice versa, about the wonder of  evolutionary creation.

Roy and I were employed by a Brisbane University Psychology lecturer to present a puppet show to illustrate the use of puppetry in hypnosis therapy with children - mindful that some people are more suggestible than others.

This conclusion is drawn through spiritual experiences - it's all about your brain chemistry. Visions,   being enveloped by ecstacies(drug or religious induced) and revelations is usually inspired and triggered by insights into the wisdom and connection with imagery and stories of our human imagination. I had an imaginary pet, my husband Roy had greenery...

I have drawn to this conclusion of  the God/Goddess delusion as concoctions of our hormones because it all depends where you are born how you will manifest a belief system. Whether you write on the Census you are a Jedi, Protestant of a kind, Hindu, Roman Catholic, Hindu or Jew or none of the above - you have your own mind.

Memorably, I have felt the comfort and motivation by the love and protection, and providence of  Jesus Christ in God, as the established Church of England, St. Wulstans was in the same street where I and my father and grandfather had grown up.

The intensity of feeling depends on the situation; running down the street on a mystical high as a child after playing Mary in a rehearsal for the Nativity Play, or being entwined in a creative neighbourhood of  fringe dwellers inner-city Melbourn aged 19 years.

Paintings by the Pre-Raphelite brotherhood resonated without drugs.

Art and love, and song and spirit kept us strong after experiences of rejection of Church and State during the 1960's-80's. Bruised by stigma and unemployment I found a New Age tribe who used the best bits of Universal wisdoms.

My husband went overland on the old hippy trail from Melbourne and sought extra visions from renowned exotic herbs and human enriched blends- that's when he saw the Light too!

Our brain has activitated; cause and effect. It is real, and depending on our cultural interpretation is evidence of the Divine presence.
Hildegard von Bingen describes well my experience and shows that if I hadn't of had wealthy parents to send me to a convent, I would have ended up in a nightmare asylum banging my head against the wall with blood streaming from my head in agony like Our Lord.

NO MEDICATION TO ADJUST THE BRAIN CHEMISTRY ONE BECAME A SAINT OR DETAINED IN THE ASYLUM. No wonder we created a better place to go to in our Heads.

Read Hoydens & Firebrands: Were Hildegard von Bingen's Visions Caused by Migr...: When I was forty-two years and seven months old, Heaven was opened and a fiery light of exceeding brilliance came and permeated my w...

In the 1950's my husband Roy was inspired by the story of  Nobel Prize recipient 1952, Dr. Albert Schwitzer, Missionary and wanted to follow his example. By the 1960's an Anglican secondary education with Bible studies every day, made the adolescent in turmoil over masturbation.

The creative role model of Mick Jagger saved his sanity. He wanted to wear a white frilly shirt Cavallier like than Puritan. This would unfortunately get him beaten up in Queensland regional centres touring with the Marionette Theatre Company 1967-70.An Australian Puppeteer 1967-2000

Half a century later, he is my Green Man. He plants trees, bushes and grasses to restore the indigenous habitat for an ecologically sustainable and inspiring environment.
Roy breathes in the hypothesis of Gaia by James Lovelock and has listened to the Science Show every Saturday on ABC RN without fail for all our 29 years together.

Enthused by multi-cultural knowledge, he is entertained by the thought he was born today on the Eve of a grand orgy! Typical pagan soul...of Beltane.

This would not make him get on a plane to Edinburgh for the Fire Festival - it might be the beginning of Summer in the ancestral homelands, but it's still too cold. He is not spending any money, having found his Summerland home - imagined by Celts as their Heaven.

My Beltane baby continues to reflect on the origins of Celtic DNA and archeology whilst getting his hands dirty in ancient Australian soils, attracting the native birds to a restored Eden.

That's the Spirit!

Unfathomable meeting of the minds of artist and audience, makes Life a rolling series of revelations.
